Hip Dips
Note: The video didn’t mention it, but the range of motion should be with the unsupported hip dropped down and then lifted until the hips are back in neutral. The model does a good job of doing this by bringing the unsupported foot back to a level position with the other foot rather than hiking the hip up higher.
Remember that the side you are working is your supporting/standing leg, not the one being raised and lowered. You shouldn’t feel your back or oblique muscles doing the work of lifting the hip on the unsupported side.
Think of driving the standing leg down and growing taller through that leg rather than just lifting and dropping the hip on the unsupported side.
